Overview
Fön-smǟn Kez was founded durring the late 13th century in spring of the year 1152, by Ghihubno Berdra. The establishment of Fön-smǟn Kez was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Ghihubno Berdra electing to pay people to resettle in Fön-smǟn Kez.
Fön-smǟn Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fön-smǟn Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Fön-smǟn Kez is buildings are built arround a single narrow paverstone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. The town's bare minimum defences are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.
Fön-smǟn Kez is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife. You get the terrible feeling that whatever it was, the wound it left will simply never heal. This town is as a necropolice.
